FARMERS MARKET COORDINATOR 

The part time Farmers Market Coordinator works alongside Isaac (owner/operator) to organize and operate weekend Farmers Markets with assistance from crew members.   The Coordinator prepares product and coordinates/organizes all items to be sent to market.  This work is completed on Friday mornings, while the market work itself occurs Saturday mornings (and the first Sunday of each month).  The Farmer’s Market work requires an early start time (typically 5:30am) on Saturday morning. The coordinator then (with help from assistants) loads up, unloads at market, sets up the booth, loads back up at noon and then unloads the materials back at the farm around 1pm.  The ideal candidate would be able to complete these tasks every Friday and Saturday (with some occasional days off).  There may be some monthly Sunday markets as mentioned above.   

There may also be opportunities for additional work on the farm for the right individual.

PACKING ASSISTANT

Harmony Ridge Farms is a family owned farm set in the rolling hills of Tobaccoville, NC. We grow all-natural produce without the use of chemicals, and our livestock is raised humanely, outdoors on pasture without exception. 2026 will mark our 17th year of diversified production. This is an opportunity to work for a small-scale sustainable family farm. We provide a fun, understanding, educational and rewarding work environment. We currently have a tight knit farm crew and are seeking the right individual(s) to build out our 2026 crew. The Packing Coordinator works alongside the farm Owner/Manager and the Packing Coordinator to fulfill orders and organize deliveries prior to distribution. Orders include restaurants, CSA boxes, community outreach boxes and farmer's market goods. The bulk of the work occurs on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays (8-10 hours each day, with Fridays usually closer to 5-6 hours). We start early (typically 5:30-6am). The Packing Assistant will also help complete invoices on Wednesdays and Thursdays. Weekly inventories will be conducted on Friday mornings. Most of the work is conducted indoors, with opportunities to add additional hours working in field. This position may also be a full time position for someone willing to do additional field or wash/pack tasks on the farm - see our other ad for "Field Worker".

Harmony Ridge Farms Paid Internship

This is an opportunity to learn and work alongside a seasoned crew producing some of the finest sustainably-grown produce, pork and eggs in the Piedmont (Tobaccoville, NC). We're located on the South end of Tobaccoville, near Pfa^town and Bethania, in close proximity to Winston-Salem. We are a family farm in our seventeenth year of production, and raise all natural vegetables, melons, eggs and pork.

The Work

The internship duties center around our produce operation, with opportunities to learn about animal husbandry and farm management if so desired. Duties include field preparation, cultivation, planting, spraying, trellising, harvest, washing/packing produce, fulfilling orders, greenhouse/hoophouse production tasks, farmer’s market help and other farm duties as assigned. Training on farm machinery/tractor is available but optional.

Schedule

This is a full time or part time internship opportunity - work schedule is generally Tuesdays through Saturdays, with some Monday work days mixed in. We start early in the morning, typically 6-7am and work until 3-4pm most days. Duration of internship is TBD, and may evolve a long-term position for the right individual. Ideal applicant would start in Spring and work through Fall. Learning is completely on the job - engaging owner/managers with constructive questions is encouraged as time allows. I will be happy to fill out any forms you need to fulfill appropriate course requirements.
